I know it's basically a meme at this point that the chain hates Great Adventure, but honestly, given all of the pain the park has endured lately and all the super exciting pitches happening across the rest of the chain, these are some really weak-feeling options in my opinion. I know the strata spinner is coming, but I feel like a top tier family attraction should also be on the menu... and it's definitely not in this collection of options. SFGAdv needs flats and a new kids area, but neither feel like enough for what obviously should be a flagship park in the chain.

Fascinating that the chain could be looking at EXPANSION of the Peanuts IP though. Good data point to have.

If they're going to put in another drop tower at least give us the 1000ft Intamin concept. The flat ride package is definitely needed at the park. I wonder if the massive kids area would go in Lantern's plot, retheme of the Golden Kingdom, or go where Balin's Jungleland/Wild walkway were.

They’re not even hiding just how little they actually care for this park, it’s depressing

This is embarrassing.

We continue to be optimistic for this park but that optimism dwindles faster each day.

There’s just absolutely no way they removed from this park what they did, added what most people didn’t want, delayed both new recent openings by large margins and then presented us with these potential options.

Every other park has launch, dives, giga’s, rmc’s, whatever as options. How is this even possible?

I understand this park potentially needs all of this but these options shouldn’t be stand alone. They should be an additional bonus for what they’ve done to this park in recent years.

Not sure how others would feel about it, but I’d much rather them spend money on a family coaster like Phoenix Rising/BBWR/Penguin Trek. The new wave of family B&M’s are surprisingly fun and I feel they could use a middle tier option while we wait for a big addition post Spinda Ka

I like a family invert for Great Adventure too, but I'd prefer other manufactures (read: Vekoma) over B&M. A story/theme-heavy, unique family launch like Drayton Manor's Gold Rush feels like a good possibility too. I could envision either anchoring a new kids area (like the Planet Snoopy pitched in the survey).

I majorly agree with @paintervision re: Camp Snoopy vs. Planet Snoopy too, for the record. Whether it's replacing Jr. Thrillseekers or Bugs Bunny National Park (which, for the record, would be my preference for Snoopy since I'd like to see the family-friendly, unique pirate theme fully realized and spread to Jr. Thrillseekers), both areas seem to lend themselves MUCH better to a Camp Snoopy than a Planet Snoopy.

Great Adventure already has a giant record breaking coaster in the works though. Over Texas would be the only comparable park since it also has a huge coaster already planned, and the only coaster in their survey was a water coaster.

Besides Ka, we lost 5 other extreme thrill rides. Something family oriented is a great thought to put towards the park, but we've fallen so far past that, that I really don't think it's good, for now. Especially when the Spinner will be the 'make or break' that some position it to be like GASM. It's no secret Great Adventure has been starved of gaining world-class additions like in the 2000s with Nitro, Ka and Toro in just a 5 year timespan. The park should be focusing on that to be a primary flagship destination that it should've been in the past 20 years.

I think Spinda Ka, a 400ft standalone drop tower, a kids area and a flats package does a decent job at replacing what was lost from a quantity perspective.

The issue I have is there really needs to be another big coaster planned. I recall someone saying that the plan was to use GLs plot of land for something, as that was what was said at the ACE event

edit: Honestly? This park would be better served being shut down forever than operating as a middling park like St. Louis or La Ronde. GAdv was meant to appeal to the largest metro area in America, and if they don’t want to operate with that in mind, I don’t think there’s a point in it continuing to be open.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm honestly not sure why everyone is being so negative about this survey, this is all stuff they would greatly benefit from. Every park could use a drop tower and a 400 foot freestanding one would be really cool, their kids areas are very out of date, and a Zamperla flat package makes perfect sense to fill the boardwalk area back up. Are people just upset that they didn't mention another coaster in this? They're already working on a coaster likely exceeding $40 million, so realistically they're not going to get another until 2031 at the earliest, it doesn't make sense to poll for it this far out. Maybe a Screamin' Swing or family coaster would be a nice inclusion, but I still think all of these would be great.

Great adventure desperately needs a modern family coaster. Given the gutting of their thrill rides, that plus the kids area concept (a camp snoopy theme would work wonders for the cohesion of the parks kid’s areas) would set them up nicely in the family department while they wait for the next extreme coaster

Ah they are going to use the parachute spot for the new tower aren't they.

I haven't followed construction updates in a while, they doing work in by the go-carts?

Right or wrong, of course everyone is being negative. We already had Ka and Zumanjaro. As cool as a 400 foot drop tower is, we already had it. Similiarly, we already had a taller/faster launch coaster. Therefore nobody is looking at these as being something new and exciting.

Tbh, the only way to stir up hype would have been to add some newer attractions. Multiple launch coaster, gigantic coaster, one of these newer style water attractions, vekoma tilt, etc. Would definitely pair nice with a family style coaster or screaming Swing like you suggested.
