According to the park’s website, Grand Carnivale will return on select days from June 24th to July 9th.

The event has not yet been added to the park calendar, so it is unknown when their dark days will be. However, it has always been Tuesdays the past couple of seasons, so I wouldn’t expect any different this year.

Also, this event should definitely be the length it was the first year (three and a half weeks) versus how it’s been since COVID (two and a half weeks). Anyone else agree?

I think there’s a reason we haven’t seen Carnivale run for three and a half weeks since its first season: it puts an enormous strain on park operations during the event. For example, most of the event staff are pulled from other locations (spreading staff more thinly), and the Grain & Grill kitchen is used to prepare most of the foods, causing lots of backups and congestion. The park is basically exhausted by the time the event ends. KD should really look into investing into a more sustainable, infrastructural solution if they want to operate events like Carnivale in the long term.

The show also tours to more parks than it did the first year.

This is true, but since they made an additional third set of floats for Carowinds and Valleyfair to have in 2021 (at least I think they did…), this shouldn’t impact the event length.

To my knowledge, Dorney Park gets KD’s floats, Worlds of Fun gets Kings Island’s floats, and Valleyfair gets Carowinds’ floats.

At least last year, Dorney's float set was different than KD's. The main show performers, however, were the same!
Were the floats different? I thought they were the same ones (I visited both parks last season), but I’ll look back at videos to see if I’m mistaken.

Also yeah, they definitely had the same performers in the stage show and some of the same cast from KD.

Grand Carnivale will run daily except Wednesdays from June 24th to July 9th. It doesn’t look like there will be anything new at the event this year other than Retrospect (the Grand Bandstand show).

As of now, it also looks like the event will have different hours based on the day. I’ve posted them below in a picture. I wonder if the parade will be at the same time every night or vary based on the day of the week.
