They've announced it: Six Flags New England is getting SFMM's Deja Vu.​

They finally confirmed the rumor that Deja Vu from Six Flags Magic Mountain is coming to Six Flags New England. It was also confirmed that it will take up some of the Shipwreck Falls area... Will they get rid of Shipwreck Falls for Deja Vu?

Real announcement coming September 1st.

I like the name change on this one, Six Flags. "Giant Inverted Boomerang" sums it up just about as nicely as any themeless ride could.

Like I said in another thread. Name it "Absolute Shit" and the GP will still ride it.

Now Magic Mountain ties with Cedar Point and Ii think we all know both of them want another coaster for 2013.

I am a little surprised that Magic Mountain, a park that clearly wanted that coaster crown, would relinquish it after one season because they removed a ride. CP didn't even try to tie them. Odd move in my opinion.

Plus, Deja Vu is a pretty fun ride that is also popular in the park and has a small footprint. You'd think they'd remove a larger ride that is not as popular, maybe like Viper. SF seems to be throwing away Arrow loopers by the truckload anyway, and a very nice-sized coaster could fit in that spot.

The viper still has the tallest freestanding loop in the world... The title would go to KD if they removed it.

I was simply suggesting it since many Arrow loopers are leaving SF parks, or have been removed when not very old. If I were to choose a roller coaster to leave Magic Mountain, I would pick Scream! It's a clone of other rides, it's a gimmicky coaster (floorless), and Riddler's Revenge as a standup is a much better gimmicky coaster with the same number of inversions, more unique inversions, and it is taller and faster. Scream! tends to have shorter lines than other rides at the park, and other SF parks could use a B&M looper, like SFA instead of getting Iron Wolf, which is not a very good ride anymore.

Apparently SF has thought better of naming the ride "Giant Inverted Boomerang," as initially report on ThrillNetwork. Screamscape rumors show that the park is planning to name the 200 ft tall boomerang "Goliath," which seems to be the lamest use of the much overused SF attraction name.

Actually, that title goes to Superman with Batman being a close second. Superman has been used on 15 of Six Flags roller coasters (17 if you consider Bizarro apart of Superman) and Batman has had it's name used on 13 different rides (15 if you count the Dark Knight coasters). Goliath has surprisingly only been used 5 times by them. But if you consider only names that Six Flags actually owns then yes, Goliath is the most used name that Six Flags owns that has been used on any of their coasters.

I didn't mean that Goliath was the most used name by Six Flags, I was just stating that Goliath is way overused, but most of their names are anyway. I was commenting on how small the ride was to be named Goliath. It's just a boomerang; it's barely even a roller coaster by technical definition. Even at 200 feet, it won't be the tallest ride at SFNE and elicits very little pragmatic reasoning as to why it should be called Goliath.

Interesting though that Superman is their most used name. It makes sense, but off the top of my head, I would have guessed that it would have definitely been Batman.

I think Six Flags is overestimating the intelligence of the general public. I think that is why they're renaming De Ja Vu to Goliath and Iron Wolf to Apocalypse (Apocashit if you ask me).

When you're riding Iron Wolf, you're being beaten so badly you feel like it might as well be an Apocalypse. So at least that name is quasi-fitting.

I haven't ridden it at all. But an old friend of mine said that it once was a great stand-up to ride, just the park took mediocre care of it. I think the same might go for De Ja Vu, too.

Goliath is missing on the park’s 2021 map. Guess we found another one of Six Flags’ ride removals. Early rumors suggest it’s getting sent to Frontier City and a fairly credible source indicates it’s getting replaced by a Mack PowerSplash

I just wish they'd spend some good money here. NE needs a "flagship" park so badly. I remember splitting time between SFNE (My dad's office was like 5 minutes away) and Lake Compounce.
