In other words, can the runner ups be found somewhere on an official document, or something like that, after the awards ceremony ceases?

Actually, Matthew, I think there will be a list for like the top ten roller coasters and maybe top ten parks but as far as the other categories go, they rarely announce a top ten/runner-up list for the others.

I'll ask my friend who is at the event and see if he can get that info.

Do these awards ever change?

Rarely. Dollywood did beat out Knoebels for best food this year.

Still waiting on a few more categories to be announced.

I'm really not surprised BGW won again for best landscaping. They've won every year since its founding in 1998. I know some of you think it's on the downfall, but I think it always looks amazing!! And on Wikipedia, you can see runners up from past years, but that doesn't help for this year.

I'm surprised Kings Island won for best children's area again. I have never been so I can't speak from experience, but I have heard Kings Dominion had the better Planet Snoopy. I wonder what they do better?

Matthew, the awards are run by Amusement Today and they do publish the results in one issue of their magazine. For best park they list the top ten, but every other category they list the top five. They also list the percentage of votes each park received to let you know how they compare to each other and where they rank exactly.

The 2014 issue isn't out yet, but you can get 2013 - 1998 from their archive of these specific issues: http://www.goldenticketawards.com/issue-archive/

Plus there are lots of pictures and some articles written about each category.

They have more family flat rides and a better Boo Blasters. They have a Carousel, Inverted Vekoma family coaster, and a lot of other attractions that pull in the bigger kids as well. I love the Planet Snoopy at KD but theres only oh so much a teen can do by themselves compared to Kings Island. I do admit KD has the better landscaping. The pavers and the natural setting blend together in perfect harmony.

I can say many great things about Dollywood but saying they have the best food is not one of them.

The Golden Ticket Awards are always looked as a joke for the most part because the the ballots received are from a very small voting pool. Millennium Force as best steel and Boulder Dash as best wood is evident of that!
