The park had filed this on 12/06/11 and had it approved already.

Adding an additional 419 square feet to the German Village restroom.

Does anyone know which restroom it is talking about? I know Festhaus restrooms getting an addition was rumored, but could this be for that? Or is it for the restrooms across from Santa's Workshop during CT?

Also, I am not good with numbers to size portions, is 419 sq. ft. big or minimal?

That permit is for an addition to these restrooms (the ones across from Santa's Workshop). They're expanding the building the the right of the current restrooms so that they can expand the existing woman's restrooms into said building- this will basically double its size. As for the Festhaus restroom renovation, I honestly hardly know anything about it other than it's happening.

Oh, I have just heard Festhaus restroom expansion, saw this and ran with it. I don't think I have used those bathrooms but once in the past 4 years.

Thanks BG Europe Fan, that looks like a ton of Math I don't understand, but I suppose it is nothing too big. It is actually odd of them to be making bath room expansions lately? Such as the renovated bathrooms in Scotland, now this, and soon to be Festhaus. I didn't think they had such a problem with the current ones? However, I hope we can see the new Dyson hand dryers in this one too. Those things really work quickly and are amazing.

I noticed the Scotland restroom expansion. I mentioned it in the chat room a while back. But they took park of the stables to build a new men's room and took over the old men's room and expanded the women's room. This looks like the men's room will stay the same and the women's will be doubled.

The expansion for this restroom is justified being that is in close proximity major attractions like Land of the Dragons and Alpengeist. It's also a big transit point in the park with people walking to and from New France and Oktoberfest, the Skyride, and the giant hill to the Rhine. I'm surprised they didn't do this sooner.

419ft² "=~ 40ft x 10ft" or "=~ 1/4(2000ft² house)"

Here, I'll explain it without the mathematical notation.

"Four hundred nineteen square feet" equals approximately "forty feet by ten feet" or equals approximately " one-forth of a two thousand square foot house"

Wolfram Alpha also says that 419 sq. ft is about the same size as 3-4 parking spaces.

Now for something alittle eccentric.

419ft²=(xπ-16x)²

First one to figure out what "x" equals in Real Numbers gets rep.

This thread is proof positive.
I like threads like this.

The reason why I think they are renovating these bathrooms is to add a unisex bathroom for the handicap guests. This is what they did to the bathrooms attached to the staples in Scotland across from the train station.

I think they could just be expecting more people in the park too. After all, if you need bigger bathrooms, you must have a bigger crowd, right?

EDIT: I just hope they install the Dyson hand dryers! Those things are awesome, and are the reason I only go to Scotland besides the train and stables.

I agree. These Dyson hand dryers are so cool and powerful and though they had these hand dryers elsewhere in the park.

My 9 year old just got a Dyson bladeless fan for Christmas. It was the only thing he wanted.

They introduced the Dyson hand dryers in Sesame Street in 2009. Since then they have only added them to the updated restrooms, which has only been in Scotland. I like their uniqueness.

Let's be honest, paper towels are wasteful and really don't get your hands dried as quick. Plus, the Dyson hand dryers work as hand warmers as well during Christmas Town :p

Not as fast and good 'ole paper towels.
I like the option and the paper towels help protect you from the germs on the door handles

I see that you found another great and powerful way to warm your hands and blow the germs away:D.
