Most of you are too young to remember Captain Kangaroo, the children’s television host for many years. He visited Great Adventure several times:

He actually opened Looney Tunes Land forty years ago, and spent a lot of that time with one of our site’s fans who shared a video with us:

For the past several years a 10 PM closing is "late" for the park, but it used to be "Magic 'til Midnight" was typical for Friday and Saturday nights in summer:

Then and HP’s late nights (I remember the old laser show at Midway) used to be big deals. Especially in the 11-15/17 range when your parents would be ok being there that late.

I've been posting quite a bit on the FB and INSTA pages, but I don't always remember to cross post here. I was scrambling to make sure everything that I didn't have saved already from the old Forums and Galleries got backed up. I was trying to get the backup files from the hosting provider, but they won't let me access them since the Forums were in Harry's name. Without going through legal hoops I just had to do my best to save what was most important.

wow, this is what six flags great adventure halloween events were before fright fest (ironic since the halloweekends trademark were later be used by cedar fair until cedar fair was bought by six flags so meaning that trademark has returned to six flags)
