Hey all, I’m here to share an Idea i’ve had for a dark ride concept for Fun Spot Orlando. I think a dark ride is something that the park would benefit greatly from, as It gives them a indoor ride with wide appeal. Given fun spot is a lower budget park, i’m not suggesting anything super high budget like the rides down the street at universal, but a small interactive dark ride from sally corp. What sweetens the deal with this company is that they are located in jacksonville, which is within a three hour drive of the park. As for where to put the ride, there are a couple options. The first and easiest of which would be to use the remaining space adjacent to the splash pad and gator spot. I have heard rumors of them wanting to build an rmc raptor here, so I don’t know if they’d want to use that precious space for a dark ride. If they’d rather keep the space, they could take a page from Fun Spot Kissimmee and build a smaller bonus area at the strip mall across the street. Theres a grassy patch there thats about an acre in size, so it could probably fit the dark ride along with 1 or 2 small flat rides.
As for the theme of the ride, it would be pretty straightforward, as Fun Spot loves sticking to a patriotic theme. A classic american carnival would be a no brainer, especially since this would undoubtedly be a Interactive dark ride.
