RE: Volcano: The Blast Coaster

Is it similar to vanish point? ( Excluding the 2 slides with the floor dropping)

RE: Volcano: The Blast Coaster

I would like for you to re read what I said. Ok now, I said "similar" never did I say "hey that slide looks exactly the same as vanish point" I was just stating, the 2 slides on the left, look similar to the 2 slides in the middle on vanish point.

What is that slide at the beginning of the video?

That speed slide tower was part of the original water park, Hurricane Reef. This water park was KECO's last ride/attraction added to Kings Dominion before Paramount took over ownership at the end of the 1992 season. Back then, all water park attractions were between the Grove section and the Rebel Yell. Three of the original attractions no longer exist in that section of the current water park. The speed slide tower and the original children's water play area, (to the left of the speed slide tower run-outs), were removed to make way for The Stunt Coaster (that included the Diamond Falls chute ride as well). The 3rd original slide (Double twisted slide Tower; that went underneath part of the Anaconda track), was removed about 2 seasons ago.

The only addition to that section was the Funnel slide in 2006 (1st year of Cedar Fair ownership). All other water park expansions happened south of the Rebel yell (Paramount '96 or '97? | Cedar Fair 2006)
