At Pass Member Appreciation Weekend 2014 Carl Lum announced a "Founders Event" which will celebrate the park's 40 year history. Aside from the May 2015 date, not much else is known at this time.

In 2009, it was the benficiary of donations from the former Busch Gardens Europe park and from Six Flags Over Texas.
I wouldn't doubt if they held onto some BBW parts for Nessie, considering they're both creations of Arrow Dynamics.
