At Pass Member Appreciation Weekend 2014 Carl Lum announced a "Founders Event" which will celebrate the park's 40 year history. Aside from the May 2015 date, not much else is known at this time.

Maybe the park will bring the beloved Singing Mushrooms back.

I'm very curious as to what this is going to consist of. The exhibit that was proposed at the announcement sounds promising. I'm just hoping this runs throughout the summer, and will hopefully restrict the dreaded summer-time event from returning.
It would be nice to have a permanent exhibit like Busch Gardens Tampa. They have walls with display cases containing props from old shows and pieces of defunct roller coasters.

Drachen Fire was scrapped, doubt they have any pieces of her laying around and what was left of BBW got sent to the National Roller Coaster Museum in Texas.

Many parts of BBW are currently in use on Nessie. If you go into the maintenance bay you can see a stack of red parts.

There is also one Big Bad Wolf car still at the park and I believe one Drachen Fire car as well. However, those are in storage.

I do not want to argue but I have never seen or heard of any BBW parts in the Loch Ness bay; the spare parts from it's former sister coaster in Tampa.
When you talk about the storage area I hear there are loads of cool things in there! I was told each 3D model of the roller coasters are in there along with countless other museum type artifacts.

I wouldn't doubt if they held onto some BBW parts for Nessie, considering they're both creations of Arrow Dynamics. Could be used for back up parts and such since there's some compatiblity.

I have been on the Rollercoaster insider tour twice and on the big tour once. Both take you into the Nessie's maintenance bay. I can assure you there are BBW parts in there.
Both coasters were Arrow design and used many of the same parts. They recycled as many parts as they could. What they got from Tampa was an extra train and additional cars to make the current trains one car longer.

I believe I actually posted pictures of the BBW parts at LNM. The maintenance guys told us they were from The Wolf on our Roller Coaster Tour.

I'm pretty certain Busch Gardens will have a Seaworld 50th type of 40th anniversary. I mean this in a way they both will be in similar formats. In case you haven't visited Seaworld since they've begun celebrating their 50th, it's all talk and hardly any play. They have signs plastered everywhere advertising that it is in fact their 50th anniversary, but do you see things happening where old relics are brought back or celebrated? Nope. They have a couple of special things going on, but they're hardly on the scale they could or would be expected to be. Kings Dominion did both the talking and the playing.
As Seaworld has, I predict we will definitely see a lot of the 40th anniversary around the park. As for actually celebrating it? I don't expect much, but this event already sounds larger and more exciting than anything I've seen or heard Seaworld do so far.

Not to side with the devil, but... A. It's 40. Not 50. Not 25. 40. One more than 39, and one less than 41. Basically BFD; and B. Even if they were planning on doing something, that something is pretty hampered when your stock is in the can.
Talk is cheap. And that's about all they can afford at the moment.
