After reading the thread about the fate of BGTFans, i thought to myself, what if Parkfans had a website that contained articles on parks, like BGWFans and KDFans, but on multiple parks. I believe that this website would work because we could have multiple forum members who frequent the Florida parks write up articles for these parks, which means there will be lots of of new articles. For example, since I go to SeaWorld a lot, i could write up articles on the progress of new rides while a member who frequents Universal or Disney world could write some articles about those parks. Also, if we put a couple of ads on the site, we could possibly have some of the money help fund parkfans. Anyways, this is just a concept and I don't know a great deal about maintaining websites, but I think it could work. What are your thoughts on this concept?

Edit: lol, no one responded :(

What happened to BGTFans? I haven't seen any updates on the website since 2015, but I don't remember seeing any threads about it. Is there something I'm not aware of?

In short, a complete lack of interest. Back when it was being toyed around with a few members around here put some effort into posting about the goings on in FL. The threads only had a few respondents and not even much in the way of thanks on major posts. If we can't sustain conversation in the forums, it would be hard to feel like running a blog has much value.

Part of what makes the discussions about BGW and KD work is the fact that all of our members contribute content. Our affiliated sites (eg, BGWFans, KDFans, BuschDominion) provide periotic updates, but most of the links, pictures, questions, etc are generated by regular members.

Having an active site like BGTBuzz or BGTFans would help generate discussion on the Florida sub-fora, but those sections of our Forum will always be less active regardless, as long as no one else provides content.
