First Time Visit to the Park

I am going to be going to Myrtle Beach next week my Girlfriend's family thought it would be fun to take a day trip and go to Carowinds. I did a little bit of research and I was wondering what attractions and rides are a must for me to ride. Is it necessary to ride Hurler, Windseeker, and Intimidator at this park since they looked the same as KDs? What is the best restaurant? Anything will be helpful.

Of your short list, I'd say intimidator would be necessary because it is much different than KD's. It is an impressively tall B&M hyper.

Put Hurler back as well- the new first turn is stellar.

Also, ride Afterburn a few times for me- I feel in love with it.

Afterburn is fantastic, their Intimidator is better than KD's and their Hurler is better than KD's. Their arrow looper (can't remember the name) is surprisingly smooth and a lot of fun. Nighthawk is a beautiful ride; it dominates the Plaza and is just nice to look at. It's a mediocre ride but if you've never ridden a Flying Coaster you have to ride it, it does jackhammer a lot though.

Wife and I are headed to Carowinds Thursday night for a Friday park visit. Does anybody have any hotel recommendations for me? I know nothing of the area and I like to play it safe as far as 'being comfortable' goes.
