RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

Both for me!

Facebook has been kind of slow, the worst today has been a kid posting Rebecca Black's Friday lyrics. :(

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

We should do an over/under for when they change the costumes on the nurses. I'm going to say by the 3rd weekend they will be less revealing. I do hope I'm wrong, but I think they will give in to the complaining parents.

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

I wouldn't be surprised that they're changed at the first show. I should have lurked at guest relations that day.

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

If anything, use the 2003 era nurse outfits during the day, and then for shows after 6, move to the new ones. I honestly don't see what's so bad about them though. Like we where discussing in the chat room, parents who complain about these must never take their kids to the beach.

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

I think the logic of parents is, "These are designed to be explicitly sexual at a family park." That can be easily countered with, "Based off of Party City's costume selection, girls have made Halloween an explicitly sexual holiday."

Bikinis are also designed to be sexual as well... We live in a very sex charged society, parents need to get over that fact.

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

It's amazing how many parents find the inevitable exposure to anatomy appalling, yet they won't blink at exposure to violence...

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

like I said if they want to keep the drummers the nurses outfits stay.

And lets not forget the fact that the Monster Stomp drummers show more skin than the nurses do.

A man in overalls and no shirt vs. a chick in a nurses outfit up to there and down to there with their boobs to their chin is not a good arguement. Sorry.

That said, I'm all for it. All of it. Boobs, pecks, blood, guts, bring it. And I have kids....gasp! I know right.

Funny Fiends story, when my brother was about 17 (so back when the nurses were, well, the nurses), one night we we went to the last show of Fiends of the night. It was a super slow night and it was just my family and maybe a handful of others. Really dead. He's not into the shows, so when we used to drag him into one, he would break out whatever random portable video game system he had on him and play through the shows.

This night, one of the nurses was not having it. Not having it. She was going to get his attention. The last song of the show, she made her way over to our table, jumped up on the end of it and crawled her way down to where we were sitting. She gets on her hands and knees and in perfect stripper form, sticks her butt right into my brother's face and shakes it like he had 20 singles in his hand. She jumps off the table, straddles him, kissed him on the cheek and then skipped away.

We still talk about it to this day. It was hilarious.

I have yet to tell him the nurses are back. It's almost Friday though.

Due to this story, every show of fiends I attend I will be ignoring the show and playing a portable game or texting...

I really liked it. Anybody have any good pics of the nurses?

(not for any reason your thinking about)

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

FWIW, my wife did not approve of the show. (I honestly didn't pay enough attention to it to render an objective opinion.) Any of you who know us, know they we are very laid back and open minded, even with the kids. But she thought the show was needlessly over-sexual. Almost like they were forcing it to be edgy. She thought the butt cleavage exposure was a bit much as well as the grinding and simulated humping from some of the dancers. She's normally not uptight at all, so if she had an issue with it, I'd tend to give her a little credibility personally. (BTW, she'd only be talking about it being inappropriate for kids, not adults obviously.) That's her 2 cents...

RE: Fiends (2011 Howl-O-Scream)

It was a bit on the racy side, yes. I don't really think it was aimed for kids though.
