RE: Fiesta evaluation

Update. What ever it was was localized in the area around the brindge from Fiesta to DaVinci Garden. It was also only briefly closed and reopened about 15 minutes later no idea as to cause.

The park was packed. Usually on days like today after the fireworks they let people out that way to alleviate some of the foot traffic. There was no evacuation.
That would seem to fit better with what was going on as I didn't see any police responce park security is not going to search for bomb on their own. It also was only briefly closed from what I heared from others peopke around 10 to 15 minutes not time enough to rule out a bomb. I did hear someone say that they saw allot of blood all over the bridge as they were being turned away but I have NO idea if thst is true or made up as I didn't know the person who saw it. Hopefully it's just a wild rumor.

If that is the case they might want to provide better guidelines to staff on how things are explained to guest. Both me and my two friends with me were told that we HAD to leave the ares by the bridge and to exit by the area of Apollo's Chariot. This left the impression that something was going on even if thatvwas not the case. Also I heared a few people asking what was going on and not getting answer again reinforcing the belief that something was going on.

Absolutely I agree. That's ridiculous. I would send them a complaint email.

I was also at the park and had several very poorly handled situations. I was on the other side watching both showings of All for One with a friend. I left the park livid (not because of the show...mics and effects actually worked). I'm thinking they were understaffed.

If you want numbers, apparently they boosted crowd expectancy from very low attendance, due to weather to 20k by early morning. By the afternoon, they boosted it 26k, and that still was off.

This seemed to be the case for Kings Dominion as well this weekend. I fully expected a slower Sunday and it turned out to be extremely busy with attendance over 18,000 at 5:30 pm on Sunday. I'm sure the low temps also lead to this being the case, plus Saturday was dismal for the entire area, forcing people to go later in the weekend.

I bet it was packed Sunday! The husband and I went to the Williamsburg Winery on Monday (Labor Day). When we left at 4pm, we came down Route 60 just to drive by the park and it looked packed. They were parking people in England. France, Germany, Italy, and Ireland all looked pretty full. At least from what we could tell through the trees....
