Just got this email. We may have lost Winterfest but the park will still be open on weekends throughout November.
Agree that, while this is no Winterfest, it’s a great surprise that, while most SF parks are seeing their calendars cut, KD is extending theirs.

Going to Winterfest had been a Thanksgiving weekend tradition for my family since the event began, so I’m glad we’ll still be able to keep that tradition somewhat alive.

Guess the chain realizes they need to make a token effort to compete with BGW, and don't need their pass holders looking elsewhere.
I don't think this competes with BG is the smallest bit tbh. Busch has a whole event once night hits. This does not.

Doesn't say anything about including i305 even if it was running. Theres no tumbili, or FOF or anything about jungle X besides rapterra
They only listed two rides. Do you think those are the only two that will be open?

I don't think ONLY 2 coasters will be open. I feel like they'll probably open Twisted, and while Pantherian might be a little too much to wish for, it would be a little silly if they didn't open FoF since it's literally indoors.

It’s nice that they are doing this for local season pass holders that they added these days. For a passholder short term it’s great. For the big picture it’s not IMO.

Season pass sales must be down. It doesn’t seem like it will be profitable. It’s not enough to attract destination guests with holiday events starting in Nov

I think this is a good example of the state of the company. Instead of investing in the areas of Winterfest that woukd get it on level with Christmastown and would attract more people, they do this which most likely won’t be profitable unless it causes some kind of surgeon season pass sales.

The previous attempts at off season limited operations failed. Remember November Nights and Jan Feb March operations?

I know most people don’t wanna hear the story but I attended a Saturday at Carowinds the first year they tried November regular operations. It was 50 degrees and no clouds. They closed the park at 3 instead of 8 because of attendance.

BGW had yhe Tempesto climber, SFA just had the Batwing climber. So who volunteers to climb Pantherian next week so KD isn't left out as the only regional park not to have someone climb a coaster in 2025?

How dare you forget to mention the 3rd best coaster in this park, Reptilian (nee Avalanche).
I really need to get more rides in on Reptilian. I’m a big fan of bobsleds but was kinda underwhelmed by it, probably has everything to do with the fact that it full stopped at the MCBR when I rode it.
