In an interesting turn of events, the turnstiles have been removed during the first week the park went to weekend only operations:

Apparently they now scan tickets at the ticket booths (which are no longer used for ticket sales). This really opened up the area.

Three years ago they had planned to remove the ticket booths, but I guess they changed their minds. I wonder if this is the first change under the new corporate management?

Well, I guess that explains why the "VIP Entrance" Prestige Pass perk was double starred with a disclaimer on their webpage! 😅

This really is an interesting change in setup. I'm assuming guest services must be the place to go for on-site ticket purchases now?

I was told there are just the kiosks just outside the security area.

The main issue I see is there is no access to Guest Relations outside the park. The old setup meant they had outside and inside windows-- not sure how this will work.

^Good call - I referred to it as guest services, but it's actually the Ride Information Center that's outside the gates by security check. I suspect that building will see a lot of traffic in the upcoming weeks.

The former Ride Information Center has indeed become a Ticket Sales center now. Park entry was quite smooth with 2 or 3 employees scanning tickets in between the old booths. The area where the turnstiles once were now has a nice Looney Tunes inspired floral display.

You can still walk to the outside windows for guest services without going through the new park gates. However, those outer windows do not usually open before the park opens. Moreover, I know from personal experience that the employees at the inside guest services windows are not very helpful. I doubt the employees maning the outer windows are better.
