Great pictures!! They really brought back some good memories. I rode Drachen Fire many times that year and still miss it. The BBW shots were great too. That's another one I'll miss.

God, do I miss Drachen Fire. I was pretty small when it opened, but I was big enough to ride. Back then I only got to go with my family once a year for a week, but I made the most out of my time. I remember thinking how great it was I never had to wait in line and could ride it 5, 10, 15 times a day while my parents were cooling off in the Festhaus. Now I would wait for hours if I could have that coaster back. I loved it, and it broke my heart each time I saw it SBNO, hoping it would open up for one more ride. Then when it was gone and I found out it was melted down, I'll admit it, I cried. A lot. It was such a great ride for me, never gave me a headache or anything, and it was so pretty and graceful-looking. I had every bit of swag - shirts, that cup, stuffed dragon, even a back-scratcher! Somehow it all got lost moving to a new house. I guess that was someone's way of telling me to let it go.
