So I’ve brought this up before but not in detail. obviously Dominator is getting a repaint this off season but, With all the re-theming going on I really hope before they touch any other area in the future, that they theme the area right off I street with berserker and dominator. It’s crazy to me that the first attraction most people go to when getting to the park is BARE BONES. I mean talk about first impression’s… the station is ugly the photo finish is ugly the SIGN is ugly… the whole plaza is just a hunk of metal. Maybe im being to harsh but jeez. The point is it’s disappointing to me that this is one of KDs star attractions and the plaza is next to nothing.

Anywho on to what I think they could/should do. What would really suit this area would be a medieval fantasy town port considering it’s right off I-street I feel like it makes sense especially when berserker is right there too. Name it “Kings Cove” or “Dominion Cove”. Dominator can keep its name it just needs a theme. I’m thinking theme it to siren who got upset at the Pirates on the ship berserker and wreaked havoc on them, add some themed elements like shipwreck debris throughout the layout maybe some sea creatures rocks and coral. And keep the color of the supports but paint the track a lighter blue. Maybe add a restaurant down there and a mini game I think it would be really nice.

Dominators station and the surrounding buildings could have the look of the buildings above. And I’m thinking the dominator sign be a statue of the siren with the name being carved rock.

Anyone thought about the feasibility of adding a jo jo roll at the beginning of Dominator for the pre lift? There looks like enough altitude to add one replacing the S-bend before the 180⁰ turn.

Every time I ride Hydra at Dorney, I wonder the same... on why can't KD's B&M have the same (fun) jo jo roll before that turn into the lift; as I agree, Dominator seems to have enough altitude through that section. And though it goes over the pathway, so does Hydra at Dorney.

Can't lie, it would be kinda cool... NoLimits 2 is a bit wonky with Jojo roll physics, so this runs a fair bit slower than Hydra's roll does. Not sure if that's how it would be in reality, but I imagine that whole first turn would have to get pushed back towards the corkscrews to make it fit comfortably.

I'm ok with just a repaint though!🤣

It's honestly impressive how drastically different it is, by only changing the track color from orange to blue. Consider me hugely in favor of @Intimidator325's "Kings Cove" thematic pitch above, it would be so cool!

Wow! It looks even better than I had pictured it in my head, and oddly enough the cobra roll looks like a wave😂 Thanks for posting this.

I would love a total repaint of Dominators colors. Especially since 305 is going to be another large orange coaster soon. Before Rapterra, Tumbili, and Apple Zapples repaint, it definitely felt like the park only had “hot” colored coasters except Woodstock Express.

dominator is the coaster spectacle you see pulling into the parking lot. Keep the color standout like yellow vs “where’d it go” blue

As for the jojo roll yes please and thank you. Maybe they can rebuild once it reaches end of life and add more good stuff

If they do change the colors I want them to keep the loop different. The yellow and orange work really well for that

What I'd most want is to somehow make it less bumpy. Dominator smacks my head around a bit. I don't know if that would require new trains, new track or both. I don't really expect they'd do it, but would be nice. Short of that, yeah a repaint would be nice.

It's wild that people think this ride is bumpy, I've ever experienced that, personally.

If you get head banging on it, you will certain notice it. Varies depending on the individual, I guess. Interestingly Medusa at SFGAdv is way better in this regard.
 
I've never had issues with headbanging on dominator but I've definitely heard plenty of people who have. The most feasible way to address it would probably be vests but I doubt they'd want to reduce the capacity that much and make that invest ment for a pretty minor improvement.
