Apparently some people have claimed injuries from this coaster which are now being investigated.

Isn't it only like 5 g's of linear acceleration? Only way that could be very dangerous is if dumdums don't have their heads back or if they don't have their appendages situated properly.

I think given how many accidents around the industry are happening at the moment, they really didn't have a choice but to investigate.

even if there werent lots of issues worldwide with accidents/injuries Fuji-Q would have to be brain dead to not close the ride and do some investigation even if its just to cover their own ass.

Well obviously an investigation is appropriate, but I would be shocked if they found anything substantial. Seems like a bit of a head scratcher. Any causation related to design would have been weeded out way back in the early design process before build, so it would have to be something really bizarre.

Japan takes these sorts of things a lot more serious than in the United States. After an incident at Expoland in 2005 they required every single coaster in Japan to shut down pending inspection.
