For me this project comes down to entirely to where it's being built. If this is going into Animation Courtyard, this is GOLDEN and I adore it. If this is replacing another area elsewhere in the park though, that's a whole other story. Hopefully there's confirmation soon.

I think it looks an awful lot like a Vekoma SFC, hopefully it has some added pizzaz to it that makes it unique beyond just the theming

Sounds like it probably has an elevator lift. That count?

Do they have space to add a new section entirely instead of redoing an existing area?

Between Animation Courtyard and the Rockin' Roller Coaster plaza there's a block of land that has long been rumored for development. More than likely though, a project back there would replace Animation Courtyard. That's no loss though.

They've technically got a lot of space near Hollywood Studios that can be turned into a guest facing part of the park but that's probably not happening. Concept art for the Monster's Inc. Land seems intentionally vague with regard to location. My assumption is that we're looking at a redo of either Muppets or Launch Bay.

While I'd agree with you about the Animation Courtyard probably biting the dust a big problem I have with that area is that Star Wars Launch Bay is smack in the middle of it.

Yeah, but Launch Bay is like a prime candidate for removal, no? It's always a ghost town and it contributes to DHS's "why is Star Wars all over every inch of this goddamn park" problem.

Ye if that's the case and Launch Bay dies then I'd definitely see the whole idea very nicely.

This is interesting, especially where it's going. I feel like the back half of Hollywood Studios (Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land) is nice. Now they need to focus on other areas.

I hope this is in Animation Square and that area gets redone. I would like to see the Muppet Vision, Star Tours, Indy area get the next redo. Then Sunset Boulevard with getting Rockin Roller Coaster a refurb to go in with HTT and give that all a golden age of movies non-IP based area.

The building inside the larger ride building in the model above could, potentially, be Rockin's ride building I guess? So baffled as to where they're building this.

So much of this is still in blue sky phase-- no timeline for opening, and only so vague concept art. I don't want to be disappointed, but until it happens I wouldn't count on it. Look at Play Pavilion, Main Street Theater, etc., all announced then quietly cancelled.

This is SO cool. Being a Vekoma SFC, it'll probably be on the same thrill level as Slinky Dog, but hot damn, I am abnormally excited for this project.

Looks like 4 of them, actually! Would be insanely cool if the station track itself was the elevator. If the trains in the concept art are to be viewed as accurate (they're identifiably Vekoma, I think there's a chance it is), it looks like 6 rows of 2 riders. Would explain the need for 4 lifts!
