This news and the news that there is a Hercules live action in the works, Undertake will be Hades in the movie and we'll get The Undertaker's HighWay to Hades ride. It will be a dive coaster of course.

It would truly be the dawn of a new era if a Disney park had an area themed to the smell of grease, leather, and sweat.

They could test the smell in Cars Land first.

Edit: Maybe just bottle the evening funk on the shuttle buses.

As a wrestling fan in my youth I think it's worth pointing that there is an unmentioned WWE Disney connection. In the early 90s WCW rented a studio and taped at Disney MGM studios most memorable was Hulk Hogan's arrival which featured a parade through the park welcoming him. Rick Flair was also know for mentioning rides on Space Mountain during interviews. WCW was then later bought out by WWE so there is already some history there.

Ric Flair's "Space Mountain Rides" were very much a metaphor...

One which I'm not sure Disney would appreciate.

They could do a retheme like Hyperspace Mountain for the Disney After Hours event things. It'll be great I'm telling ya

I quite sure that true however at the time he was using them I was young enough to be blissfully unaware of some of the more interesting aspects of the wilder world and recalling back those 20 plus years I remember the reference but not much else.

This brings back so many memories of watching the Nature Boy style and profile and wax poetic. Ah, 80's/90's wrestling...

As far as the WWE being sold, it makes much more sense to me that FOX or ESPN purchases that entity, as they are interested in the actual wrestling content for viewership. WWE is not Disney-friendly in my eyes; I think it would be more of an embarassment for Disney brass than a thing to tout; this was what lead to AOL-Time-Warner wanting to get rid of WCW back in the early 2000's even though it was a cash cow just a few year's previous to that (1997-1998).

ESPN is owned by Disney. So if they sold it to ESPN, it would be like Touchstone Pictures, which is owned by Disney but produces more mature content so as not to "tarnish" the Disney mystic.

Sorry had a total brainfart (I realize that ESPN is owned by Disney), just meant FOX as they have broadcasting rights currently for Smackdown. Either way, I do not see a day where WWE characters are roaming around any Disney parks, especially in light of the ESPN areas in Disney World failing on a cross-sports platform; wrestling has a negative stigma (to say the least), even though I would love to see something like this. I feel like most families do not want to buy their kids a Bray Wyatt (The Fiend) plush toy to carry around the park with them.
