Behind the Thrills posted a pretty strong theory about a 2025 Discovery Cove Hotel. Did anyone who viewed the article or paperwork see merit in this becoming a reality? What is the deal ?

This article?

Seems like a valid theory. Don't know if there have been any further developments, but it's easy to imagine it in the concept phase if nothing else. SEAS definitely, consistently has wanted to enter the resort game for years now and I'm confident we are right on the verge of it finally happening in Florida. Just don't know which park will get the first one and how quickly they'll spread.

It is worth noting that the Project Canopy site is very, very small. If it is a hotel, as the article mentions, it is almost certainly a very small, very boutique, very, potentially, high-end endeavor. Putting it onsite at Discovery Cove probably suggests all of those things anyway though. If SEAS could offer an on-site, boutique, all-inclusive resort hotel to match the service and ambiance at Discovery Cove, that would be a fascinating project without parallel in the region (country/world?).

Sounds amazing, but i hope it doesn't ruin Discovery Cove's tranquility or increase the capacity.
If i remember correctly, Discovery Cove has a pretty small capacity and they aren't afraid to have the park hit capacity. Mainly due to the amount of food and drink people consume since it is all you can eat. At least it used to be when i went a few years back.

The park has also filed plans for a second hotel on the site of their employee lot next to Mako and Kraken. Plans state it will be a 504 room resort with easy access to the park and private entrance by Nautilus Theater.

With that being said, I'm hearing this will 100% become a thing as they are trying to have this hotel open by 2025 and the second hotel by either late 2025 or early 2026. The company is spending a ton of money on SWO right now in preparation for Epic Universe so they are rightfully so trying to cash in where they can.
