First-of-its-Kind Thrill Ride to Debut at Six Flags Great Adventure
DC Super Hero CYBORG Themed Ride Coming in 2018​

JACKSON, N.J. — Six Flags Great Adventure, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, today announced that it will premiere the world’s first thrill ride themed to the DC Super Hero CYBORG in 2018. Inspired by the movement of a gyroscope, CYBORG Cyber Spin will deliver an unrelenting and intense anti-gravity experience as it whirls guests on three axes high above the ground.

“Six Flags leads the industry in thrill ride innovation; it is part of our DNA,” said Park President Neal Thurman. “Six Flags Great Adventure is home to an unparalleled collection of record-breaking attractions and we are excited to be adding CYBORG Cyber Spin, the first of its kind in North America. Like the Super Hero CYBORG of the JUSTICE LEAGUE, this futuristic, hi-tech ride will be unlike anything our guests have ever seen or experienced before and it is the perfect new thrill ride to expand our new Metropolis section.”

CYBORG Cyber Spin features a unique futuristic triple box design that allows the gondola to spin around three separate axes while rotating forward, backwards and sideways simultaneously at up to 70 feet in the air for intense and continuous movement. Seated 24 across with over-the-shoulder harnesses, riders will experience a thrilling combination of negative and positive gravitational forces. By night—this bold, new attraction promises to light up the New Jersey skies beckoning thrill seekers from near and far.

CYBORG Cyber Spin highlights include:

· Unpredictable flips and pivots at heights up to seven stories (70 feet) above the ground;
· Floorless seats that leave riders’ feet dangling as they whirl through the air;
· Dazzling nighttime light display; and
· Located in Metropolis adjacent to JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis.

CYBORG Cyber Spin is expected to debut in late spring of 2018.

We didn't ride this (it looks nauseating), but it does look pretty cool at night when it is lit up. The ride itself, though, from what I saw it looked kind of boring. So nauseating and boring. Not a great combo.

For what it's worth I have seen multiple people say it's being moved to allow for a queue for Flash and that it will still be at the park just at a different location. No idea how credible those reports are.

Cyborg isn’t a shocking removal by any means. Absurdly unreliable and always a walk on when it is open, this is one that absolutely had to cost more to operate than it was worth.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think it would’ve been around more than another season or two under previous management either.

Rip it out and drop in the Sky Jump they originally planned on installing in 2014 before Fitzgerald decided to be an idiot and go with Zumanjaro instead.

Would definitely like a Sky Jump now that it’s one of the few parks in the chain without some sort of major drop tower. Throw a Lex Luthor theme on it to fit the area and call it a day.

I like Cyborg, though I could only ride it once per trip. It would not be a surprise if its being removed considering the current management. A little off topic but I think Flash's placement within the park is rather awkward.

Cyborg was pretty fun, but I honestly don’t think I’ve been on it since 2019 due to its unreliability.

Flash’s plot has grown on me. Looks great from the ticket gates.

Cyborg had a great run as a founding Leaguer, but Justice League 2017 and the removal of this solidifies he's going back to being a Titan only. At least SFNE still has their Cyborg ride (with Grid -- when's the last time DC used him??) And he's still in BfM next door... RIP Cyborg's hopes and dreams.

I somehow managed to get on both Cyborg Cyber Spin and Harley Quinn at SFOT once each. I thought these things were really fun tbh.

Very fun, just also very unreliable. Shame it didn’t work out, but not surprising to see it go.
