Hi all,

Looking at doing QQ again for some of our visits this year.

2 questions:
1) From the description, is this legit that Pantheon will not be limited to One-Time only QQ starting this year? If so, that's great...just surprising.

------------------------------
Enjoy a whole day of unlimited priority access to select rides. PLUS, one-time access to InvadR. Prices vary by day.
  • Unlimited Priority Access: Alpengeist, Apollo’s Chariot, Escape from Pompeii, Finnegan's Flyer, Griffon, Pantheon & Verbolten.
  • One-Time Priority Access: InvadR and ALL NEW DarKoaster after May 19

2) Why are Tempesto and Le Scoot not included (at least not listed as included) in QQ?

Thanks in advance!

It looks correlated to capacity, but I could be wrong. (I certainly wouldn't wait in line for Tempesto.)

Interestingly, the All-Season QQ gives you one-time access to a different set of rides:

  • One-time access to: Alpengeist, Apollo’s Chariot, Escape from Pompeii, Finnegan's Flyer, Griffon, Pantheon, Roman Rapids, Verbolten and ALL-NEW DarKoaster.

Interestingly, the All-Season QQ gives you one-time access to a different set of rides:

My guess is that they don't have the Roman Rapids verbiage on the daily passes right now due to it's lack of operation but with opening in 10 days, we see it on the season-long one because it will ultimately open. That makes sense. What doesn't make any sense is the exclusion of a major coaster that has reasonable capacity. Why exclude InvadR? (And why they neglected to build a QQ line for a new coaster when you already have the program in place is beyond me.)

2) Why are Tempesto and Le Scoot not included (at least not listed as included) in QQ?

I was disappointed to see Le Scoot removed from the list (I think it was removed at the start of last season IIRC). I can understand Tempesto based on the fact that all you're doing is making sludge slower with one-train ops and a lack of an actual QQ line, but Le Scoot doesn't make much sense to me unless they plan to run only one side for the whole season and are worried about throughput. I can assume it's a pain point to need the 6+ staff to operate both sides of a non-turntable Arrow flume, but it has the dedicated line, it has reasonable capacity (1600/hr from what I scraped from an unfounded claim on another non-turntable Arrow flume), and seems to have no reason to remove QQ.

On a related note, $600 for season-long QQ that's only once-per-ride/day is highway robbery, and that doesn't even touch on the fact that InvadR is missing. For that price, it needs to include InvadR and HoS at a bare minimum. Probably needs more, tbh.

$329 for season-long FastLane at KD that's unlimited everything, every time. Hell, you can get unlimited FastLane for the entire Cedar Fair chain for the whole season for $1000.

Just another notch on the insanely steep value decline of BGW over the past 5 years.

Thanks for your responses.

Agreed--the season-long QQ being only once-per-ride/day is garbage.

For a single-day QQUP, I suppose I get Tempesto not being included (and don't care that much), and will be nice if Roman Rapids is included; but Le Scoot being excluded is a big deal for us: some of our group don't dig the more 'high thrill' coasters so rides like Le Scoot are what they're there for...but the whole group (most of whom have QQUP) having to wait in a long line for Le Scoot really diminishes value of buying QQUP.

I tried QQ for the first time and wasn't impressed. I much prefer how Hershey park handles it where you still have to wait a little bit but you can pick your own seat. I think it was fine for alpengeist and Griffon but for Apollo and Pantheon I had to ask the attendants if I could switch seats (they were all very accommodating). Since I'm a single rider I only asked to use unoccupied seats.

I've found that offering to wait additional train cycles can earn you the choice of seats when QQ-ing. Your mileage may vary.
