Conquistador won’t be reopening and has given its final rides. Oddly enough given the age of most of these rides, this seems to be the first Intamin Bounty in the US to close permanently.
These are low maintenance rides. The mechanics are simple. That’s why they have such longevity.
knowing this company, it’s doubtful if this ride is being retired because it is past its life. This ride is still being manufactured by intamin so parts are available. It’s probably just another cost cutting move.

The fact that it was already down means they likely found something during regular maintenance that required action and would just be too expensive to justify the reinvestment. Willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
If they need parts...
(Just kidding! Although a swinging ship wouldn't be hard to replace with a new model in years to come)
