So, I know I barely have any credit here as far as rumors go, but I believe Congos time is running out FAST. It’s age + high staffing required to run the ride might be factors here.
But Intamin River Rapids Rides are trackless…
I posted this poll a few months ago and feel it to be a fair representation.
Congo has significantly higher guest satisfaction than Flume, though I would fully support an elevator lift makeover and even heard intamin was on site pre-covid. A little added theming would go a long way with this ride, honestly just land-specific archways at the entrance of each hamlet would work wonders. I will say given how many decades have past since we last had a water ride, and with recent SEAS investment in San Antonio, it's only matter of time before BGT receives one.
