This is interesting...

The higher capital spending will be focused on NBCUniversal-owned theme parks such as Universal Studios, which already have been a source of growth within the division and where the company wants to spend more on attractions such as "Harry Potter" and "Transformers." For the fourth quarter, revenue from NBCUniversal's theme park division rose 4.5% to $520 million.

I wasn't expecting this. I wonder if Comcast will rename itself NBCUniversal or something.

No. Like Gavin said it shouldn't have been THAT big of a surprise. I am hearing the additional park spending will mostly be Cali and abroad.

Good observation, kid, you're getting good at this. You would think a rodent down I4 would be paying attention. Maybe that is why the BoD for DIS are prepping to vote against Iger.

On that note this move is outstanding for the international parks. I will be at Uni JapaniaLand later this Spring. I have been told by several not to have high hopes.
