It may be far fetched...but what if BGW created a web page in which, for maybe a $5 donation, guests could enter a raffle for "the first ride" in MMXX.

The promotion could start after the first of the year and run up to, perhaps, a month prior to opening. BGW will obviously be running a strong ad campaign, with CFK coattailing along for added exposure.

Heck, I don't know why BGT couldn't do the same with Gwazi. And the rest of the SEAS parks opening stuff next year.

I think if it's a straight up bid then yes it would be significantly more than $25. But the original post said $5 raffle tickets.

I think this is a great idea. Hopefully someone from BGW is reading this and they use it

I thought we had forum members that were associated with CFK. I think that organization should/could initiate contact with SEAS to see if there's an interest in MMXX, Gwazi and whatever other coasters that may be opening.

I think a simple raffle would let "the little people" at least try instead of Mr & Mrs T. Howell try to corner the market for their little Muffy and T. Howell, IV.

Didnt they do something for Invadr for the "first rides".......but then let general park guests ride before them? I though this was the case, I rode almost a week before the "official Opening" and this is where they got the "first ride". The parks response was that all those that had already ridden were in soft opening which was not officially open which was not the "first official ride".

But that would take away all the fun of sitting there and waiting day after day for the thing to open. And all the fun of one crew member telling us it's not opening whilebothers are checking gopro cards. You really have no idea about the fun unless you sat through #Invadrwatch.

Your are absolutely correct. This people got the official 1st ride at the launch party. Employees and other people who rode during testing ride it first. The park considers soft openings part of testing

We had rode as general park guests even before they did. I understand employees riding becaise you need some real people cycling to make sure real worls issues areworked out but if your going to promote first rides they really need to be the first rides.

Ok, so they will have learned by their mistakes. Why dwell on "what happened" and see if there is someway to make this happen the right way.

I think the public refers to them as soft openings. The park it is testing procedures with guests and figuring flows and other things that can't be tested until there are guests in the park. The ride is not open it's still in testing.

Im not disagreeing with any of this, but for me if I am paying/making a donation/whatever for the first ride I would like it to be for the chance to be one of the first to ever ride.
