This is awesome, I've know about Handel since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to know what some of the other music in the park was but never knew how to find out, Shazam isn't very good with Classical music in my experience.

Any ideas on Festa Italia? I know that its rearrangements of some pretty standard classics like Moonlight Sonata and others, but anyone know what arrangements specifically?

RE: Busch Gardens Music

So I am unearthing this fossilized thread to see if we can get any interest in it, A, and B because I now have the soundtrack to Festa Italia in my own personal iTunes collection, it is selections and excerpts from "Hooked on Classics" Volumes 1-4, plus some classic band organ tunes you would find on your run of the mill carousel. In fact if I recall the last time I rode the Kinder Karousel, which was earlier this summer, they indeed just play the same tracklist from Festa Italia. So don't be surprised if you hear some disco classical remixes when you mount your pony.

P.S. - I want to point out that the single post above this one is my first ever post on BGWFans Forums! Woot.

Haberdasher, do you happen to have the playlist for Land of Dragons and Forest of Fun and Pompeii area?

BTW, Thank you so much, I have always wanted to get full playlists of what is played. I have just been too lazy to try to find out. Now can you do the areas for Illuminights, Howl-o-Scream, and Christmas Town?

I swear, didn't they play the Beatles in England in previous years? What happened to that? Those were actually songs that made memories for me in the park.

Uhh, isn't "The Merry-go-Round broke down" the intro song for the Looney Tunes? I could be mistaken, but so will the federal captioning commission.

Unfortunately I don't have info on LotD, FoF or Pompeii... I never bothered with HoS as it changes from year-to-year... and yes, the park used to play 60's Brit-pop in Banbury Cross after 6pm.

Yes; from Wikipedia:
By 1937, the theme music for Looney Tunes was "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" by Cliff Friend and Dave Franklin and the theme music for Merrie Melodies was an adaptation of "Merrily We Roll Along" by Charles Tobias, Murray Mencher & Eddie Cantor. This continued until 1964, when the WB cartoon logos were modernized, and "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" became the theme for the Merrie Melodies as well.

RE: Busch Gardens Music

Thanks Dasher you have really helped flesh out my collection. I bought all 4 hooked on classics albums in order to figure this out. My goal is to have a complete tracklistfor the whole park. I really wish I could remember what was played in France before Griffon was built. That was the year they moved to Celine Dion and other French pop.
