Christmas Town Dash 8K
Last year I was set and ready to do this, but Murphy's Law kicked in at the last minute and I was unable to attend. This year I hope nothing stands in the way. Any one else doing this? Already got my new walking shoes!!

SUCH a great opportunity! I did it in its inaugural season and met Nora there too! hah!
It snowed that morning and the course was a bit slick but nothing to be worried about.

I train 3 days a week by walking everywhere in the park, putting on at least 4-6 miles on my new shoes each visit. I will be amongst the day-walkers for this event.

Congrats on the run! Love the medal.
I'd really like to do this next year. I don't really "run" though, but I could be a fast-paced walker if they allow those on the course.

I managed a time of 1 hour 10 minutes and 45 seconds walking the course.... and boy am I sore because of it today!

I love your photos and your documentation of the event. It feels like i was there. The ironic placement of the water station ahead sign is hilarious. Thanks for all the wonderful photos and once again, congratulations on taking on and finishing the 8K dash!
Maybe next year we can get a group together!

That cart is a bit too much. It's so crazy and tacky it's laughable. I would be fine with lights and tinsel in certain areas, but tinsel everywhere is a smidge too much.

Yeah, those are Entertainment's executive golf carts. They decorate them differently throughout the year, with custom license plates as well. Imagine the money they could save by not decorating their golf carts.

You got it Nora! I see so many things that if I stopped to take pics while doing the DASH I would never finish.
Also, I would absolutely love to do this again next year; a group would be awesome! Should dress up all wild like so many of the participants seem to do.
