Carowinds just announced a summer music festival that will take place over 10 days this summer with 30+ artists. Artists include Skillet, LeAnn Rimes, and Flo Rida, with more artists being announced soon.

Are they dusting off Paladium? It’s a shame they have left such a nice venue sitting vacant. It would be a great location for a park produced regular show as well since it has seating.

Paladium is way too big of a venue for a in park show. No matter how successful it is, the venue will have a huge number of empty seats, and will be seen as many as a failure.
I know someone will correct me if I am wrong; the only data I could quickly find says this venue has a capacity of 13,000.
Hopefully the Paladium being used again will mean the junk area between it and Fury 325 will finally get cleaned up.

I think this is a great idea and I honestly really like it when parks have concerts as imo I feel like there is a special type of energy in the park on the day of/during the concert especially in and around the area the concert takes place. With Kings Island being my home park I hope KI follows suit and does this too as I hate it when Timberwolf just sits there empty outside of 3 days in June (Spirit Song). I know KI tried a concert series a couple years ago and it didn't really work out, but thats because the acts weren't as well known outside of Skillet/3 Doors Down and the park charged extra for the concert and didn't include park admission. I think with the concerts being free with park admission should help attendance and I hope its that CF learned from KI's concert series and will implement this at KI and other parks with these ampitheaters.
