Rumor Busch Gardens Tampa Project 2026 (?): Scorpion Replacement

There is always a chance for a large project in 2026. If they were to make the decision to put in a new water ride, which would be a great addition, then on the other side of the wall is the log flume ride. Stanley Falls is very old as well and takes up a ton on real estate. I don't see them putting in something like infinity falls here since they already have a similar ride there. Then again, putting an infinity falls style ride here would allow them to demolish the existing ride, Congo River Rapids, and would leave a large chunk of land at the back of the park to build any large ride they would like. In theory they could close off the entire rear of the park and do construction and it would not interrupt day to day park function. And that would leave plenty of ability to expand our from there to build a giga or similar ride. View attachment 35450

I would have to say it could be a possibility.

In my humble opinion I think Busch Gardens next couple endeavors might, and should be, something that isn't a roller coaster. Many non roller coaster rides have been removed or are extremely aged and run into maintenance issues. Giving something for families to do or for the non roller coaster enthusiest should be available. This also pulls people onto different rides which makes it so roller coaster ques don't become overfilled and discourage guests.

One thing that would be very nice to see is an indoor roller coaster. From the heat of Florida to the unpredictable weather that shuts down rides, having something that can continue to operate regardless of weather and that is air conditioned would be fantastic. Busch gardens has so many areas that are severely under developed.
