Does anybody know of or have any information on Busch Gardens' capacity and attendance trends over the recent years? I found one site that only went up to 2015. I am interested in what they have been hitting recently with numbers.

The number that I heard recently from a former staff member was somewhere between 35-38k but I cannot vouch for how accurate that is.

From reading on the interwebs, 38k is their max capacity. That's crazy if they've hit that or almost hit it. I'm curious to know their pre-covid numbers vs 2020/2021 numbers. I am also an investor in SeaWorld, and their stocks are higher now then pre-covid. That's one of the reason i'm also curious about attendance and capacity numbers. This just seems crazy to think people are this hungry for getting out to theme/amusement parks.

For clarity the 35-38 was what was reported as 2019 capacity. I don't think that they are currently doing any reduced capacity

I read that 38k is their max filled capacity. Is it not? I don't think they are doing any reduced capacity either especially with pictures of a Saturday night during Howl-O-Scream. When I say max capacity I'm talking about how many people they are allowed to have filled into the park.

That was what I was told by a friend that worked there and had access to attendance numbers. But I have no outside confirmation of that so I can't state it 100% as true

The max that the park can have in park during the summer is 24k. I'm sure the number for HOS is higher but I'm not sure by how much. The numbers being reported here represent the total number of first admissions for any given day. Even with haunted houses, the park cannot hold 38k people.

That's my source for the capacity size of Busch Gardens. Very vague of a number. 38k could mean employees and guests or just guests?

I would remind people to cite their sources, when making assertions like this.

This thread should answer most questions. I think there may have been a parking expansion since the thread was active.

I was there in the 2000's and worked in park ops. The maximum the park could hold at 1 time was 24k. But keep in mind they could have an attendance of much more than that. I do recall a few 38k and 39k days, but they were not in the park all at once. As folks left early the later crowd took their place.
