We were with our friends’ kid on the bridge waiting. Apparently someone jumped the line and started attacking someone with a cane. Not necessarily newsworthy, but they ejected everyone from the line at this point.

Sad to hear it happened but good to see the park taking care of it (hopefully swiftly).

I feel bad for everyone not involved that had this happen next to them, especially that girl who looked like she was about to be crushed from one of the idiots fighting.

I'm not sure if the crowd noises were more in shock of seeing it and getting so close, but the guy behind the camera sounds like they were entertained by it.

1) These people fighting are absolute idiots

2) I feel so bad for the 2 girls who seemed to be with the 2 white ladies fighting. Can't imagine being raised by those 2 animals

3) That said, nobody was really in any danger so if I had seen that, I would have been entertained as well by seeing idiots fight each other over something so stupid but I also would have gotten the 2 little ones out of the way much faster than the bystanders did.

They ended up shutting down the ride and forcing everyone from the queue line because of the fight too. Very unfortunate for our friends, as this was to be the only ride of the day for them without their 7 year old, and they had been in line for 40 minutes or so.

And you are most likely correct, those poor little girls were being escorted out by security/police along with two of the women from the fight. They were still in tears and obviously very shaken from the whole thing. The other group from the fight seemed to have gotten out and across the bridge before security got there.

The last time I was at this park was Christmastown 2019.

I took that amazing night for granted, and I feel terrible seeing and reading these things, also with all of this happening during a seemingly never-ending pandemic. Not simply based on this incident, but on SO many things that make the park experience at Busch sometimes unrecognizable from years past.

I honestly do not know when I'll be back, and that's the first time I've ever said that. I miss it tons!

It actually may be surprising how often these incidents happen at Busch. All it takes is too much beer in the wrong person and a fight breaks out. I can't think of a year when I worked there when I didn't hear of at least one fight. They just don't always get published online. Most of them involved at least one drunk guest.

There apparently was a fight at Alpengeist as well on Sunday. I didn't see what exactly was going on, but people where running screaming towards the queue for the front row and jumping over the hand rails. It looked like someone was taking some swings, but I didn't see anyone getting escorted out and they didn't evacuate the ride.

After seeing 8 teens in a row walk by me half way through the queue of Apollo's with the usual "excuse me, I need to get to my family" I am not surprised that there are fights on the crowded weekends.

I witnessed a young couple get arrested in late June for intentionally bumping into an elderly couple at guest services. The elderly women asked for an apology and the young couple decided to escalate the situation but fortunately a young man stepped in to prevent it from becoming a fight. By the time the police came over the young girl was yelling and kept putting her hands on the young peacekeeping guy. Her bf apparently was willing to talk it out but the gf kept escalating it and police cuffed both of them and escorted them out the park.
