Buffalo Bill's closes on July 7, 2025. This comes after Whiskey Pete's December 2024 closure. Primm Valley Resort will be the last open Primm casino.

Not surprising by any means, and it’s been nearly 6 years since Desperado operated, but still a shame. I’m sure it’ll remain SBNO through various (unsuccessful) attempts to sell the property.

Not sure they are planning to sell it. Whiskey Pete's closed in December and is owned by the same group. They have since publicly filed for and received a special waver allowing them to keep their casino license in an inactive reverse status for at least 3 years. The reason for this is they wanted to hold the property and see what happens with the Southern Nevada Airport proposal. Las Vegas Airport is projected to be over loaded before 2030 and the current proposal would be to build a second one very near these casinos possibly making them very valuable again. So it's entirely possible they plan to do the same to Buffalo Bill.

here's are some things to be considered: the buffalo bills is supposed to have a event in august, so maybe it would only be open to the event and theres a fallout themed event coming so maybe they turning the hotel into a fallout themed experience for the event

I wish I also had the ability to connect dots that are in entirely different puzzles.
 
See, the clarification that it’s hosting the Fallout event and that it’s a cosplay meetup is pretty important.

That said, they’re almost certainly not going to do any theming. I’ve been to countless conventions, small scale and large scale, and unless it’s a dedicated convention center there’s little theming (and even then, not always). It’s only even being hosted there as there’s a hotel based off of it in Fallout New Vegas.

Likely the final pictures of Desperado’s station. Had never seen it before, I guess it makes sense given that it’s a casino but a carpeted station is such a bizarre concept.

Desperado was one of the first coasters outside of NJ that I ever learned about. It was absolutely a bucket list ride for me, and though it was always unlikely, I’m gutted that I’ll never get a chance to ride it.

Sad news but not surprising. The Primm area and its resorts have been going downhill for a long time as it's pretty much a ghost town now. When I lived in Vegas in the mid 2000s the place was bustling. The casinos there were pretty busy and the Outlet Malls were always packed as many of the tour busses going from California to Vegas and back would stop there.

or just demolish buffalo bills, used it for another truck stop, or just make primms a row of truck stops, like Las Vegas has a row of casinos on the strip, I rather have a strip full of truck shops
