I will be making my first visit to the park. I am a larger rider that fits somewhat snuggly on RMC and can usally fit most other rides. Can you guys give me any advice?

I obviously can't say definitively since where you carry weight matters, but if you fit in RMC's restraints, I doubt you will have any trouble at Great Adventure. El Toro will probably be snug (test seat is availible) and you might need the larger seat might have issues on Batman. Perhaps Wonder Woman (Zamperla Giant Discovery) may give an issue, although it normally is more of an issue for taller riders.

I didn't fit on Batman a few years ago. Well, actually I *did* - they got me to fit, but I really regretted it once the ride was in motion.. It was VERY tight and pretty uncomfortable. They didn't tell me anything about a larger seat? Is there a row with larger seats? El Toro I fit on better, but it still required them to retry a few times each time to get the restraint down enough. However it was totally worth it and wasn't really uncomfortable at all once in motion. Note that this was before the derailing. I don't know if anything changed since then with the restraints I as I have not been back since then.

Batman has a tighter squeeze than the other inverts I've ridden for me, I think their verify is more strict than the others

What about Kingda Ka that's one of the big draw for me.

Kingda Ka is pretty generous as far as space goes. The restraint will be no problem at all as long as you're good with the seatbelt. If anything, the tall part could be a little more troublesome there (the shoulders don't have much in the way of give), but I'm sure you'll be fine - you'd have to be really tall for it to be an actual issue.

Just about every major attraction at GA has a test seat near the entrance if you're unsure. From my experience, the restraint checkers (especially on El Toro) are VERY good at trying to get everybody locked in, even if it takes a few extra tries - they'll pretty much always give you benefit of any doubt and assume your test seat attempt was a success if you spent the time to wait in line.

I'm not aware of whether Batman has any rows with larger seats, but I'm pretty sure Medusa does.

Yeah, Medusa (though I rode it before the theme change) was no problem at at all for me. I don't even recall getting a larger seat, but maybe I did. In any case I could ride that no problem (and it's great). Kinda Ka was also no issue at all. The only ride that gave me trouble then was Batman. I don't know about Jersey Devil as they didn't have that then.

1. Batman has no large seat and the belts are cut short. If you have broad shoulders good luck with this one.
2. I found Medusa to be one of the more accommodating B&Ms with an OTSR.
3. El Toro has a BRUTAL verify that will often require an extra nudge.
4. Ka has the hard intamin OTSRs but the belt should be plenty long enough.
5. I think RMC raptors are more accommodating than the other RMC models. But beware getting your leg stuck in a position that makes the ride uncomfortable.
6. Green Lantern is a stand-up I personally have issues with those. Oh and they're hard to get on for me as well.

El Toro is very possibly a no-go. I always listen for them calling out row numbers and keep tightening my restraint because if an attendant ends up getting involved it will probably feel like it's about to break a rib for the pressure. On Ka the main thing is sitting front row and/or keeping a close watch on how much the vibration is bruising your brain, the hangover can last weeks. How much that was actually Toro I have yet to determine, but the only other time I've felt a vibration like that was right before I305 went down for a bad wheel. But Ka does it every ride, quite impressive in its own way.

I as so used to lost B&M coasters either being built with, or modified with a larger seat, that I completely forgot this one never got the retrofit. It still does not have the distinction of having the shortest belts, that honor goes to Flight Deck at California's Great America.

I don't remember Kingda Ka having a bad vibration, but I always sat front care or one car back. I know it jostles more in the back. I avoided that. Again, though, this was several years ago. I rode it a bunch and El Toro a *ton* (because that was a bonus day with beautful weather and the park was empty). Rode El Toro multiple times in a row without getting off. Good stuff. No headaches or anything.

I got back from a brief trip. I won't do a full park review as the trip went to hell for unpark related problems and I don't believe I was in the right mindset to be fair to them. But I did want to take a moment to thank everyone for the advice which was extremely helpful. Sadly Kingda Ka went down when I was next in line and I didn't get a chance to ride it

Aww, bummer about Kingda Ka and about the problems you had. Ka is very fun. At least if you sit toward the front. Though I've never actually tried the back.
