Reading and watching all these posts makes me sad that I never got to ride this coaster. Some of you have a lovely nostalgic attachment to the Wolf and your endearment comes through in your words whenever you post. I hope that the park will become to my girls what it is for some of you. There are few joys in life and we must take them whenever we can and carry them with us in happy memories. I'm glad I found this forum.

Hi Noreen, nice to see you online again.

You may enjoy reading this. I wrote a personal story about the last day of the Big Bad Wolf and my experience of being on the last ride before it closed. Perhaps it may bring you a feeling of what the ride was like on a very personal and emotional level. Chris was nice enough to allow my story to be posted on the BGWFans.com site. Here is the link:

The Wolf was truly a one of a kind, Noreen. It was such a friendly coaster but yet carried an immense fierce within it. It was really a great ride. Especially the last drop. Racing through the Bavarian village in the front seat was a lifetime experience I am glad to say to coaster enthusiasts to come that never could ride it

Nora: Thank you for the link. I probably should not have decided to read this at my desk at work. Now I look like a blithering idiot. Good thing I am alone right now. Your account of the Wolf's last day is nothing short of beautiful and it touches my heart. I understand what you mean about attaching ourselves to objects. I believe you are right. Busch Gardens is a magical place. Different from other parks I have visited. Since our first visit in August, I just fell in love with it and know that it will bring years of joy to our family. Like I said before, I hope that the memories we make with our girls of our trips to Virginia, will continue to impact them for the rest of their lives. And if I may interject a sappy movie quote "The greatest thing, you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return". Nora know that the Wolf did love you just as you loved him and maybe the new coaster will be what you get to share with your own children in the future and the love will just continue. Thanks so much.

I can only imagine what that must have been like to race through the woods in such a tremendous ride. I will always be a little sad that I never got to ride this one.
