Does anyone have further details about the Biergarten Reserve? I'm really curious as to what features it has. Based on the blurb, I'm guessing a little stage, seating, and a stand for beer and snacks? I hope it's going to be more like the Brauhaus than a drink stand...I also hope it's going to be shaded!
Nothing really on the website about it yet. They do have food and beer listed for the event though. Disappointingly few German beers this time and none that are unique. Mostly Virginia beers, which is great for local breweries.
I think based on yesterday this is my favorite event Busch does. I love craft beer festivals in general and you combine that with Busch Gardens Williamsburg and that is a great combination. Only thing I didn’t like Italy didn’t seem to have really anywhere to get samples. Also if you buy the sampler online you can’t scan at the England Bar to redeem for the lanyard and card you need. Regardless safe to say August is gonna be my favorite time to visit Busch Gardens for the foreseeable future.
I'm posting this separately in case an administrator knows where to put my post above. Bier Fest I thought was kind of so-so. Yeah, they have plenty of beer but with Grogan's and the Brau Haus they already had a bunch of craft beers. I think what leaves me scratching my head is the fact there was no place from Escape from Pompeii to the bridge from Italy that is participating in Bier Fest. I realize it is a German celebration and you have it in Germany but I just don't understand why there was no place for Bier Fest in what amounts to half of the park. For sure I would recommend anybody going to Bier Fest to go to the right at the stables.
Tried the bratwurst Burger slider at Beer & Bites. So good! I will say the bun is a little dry, so mustard is encouraged, but it had a great combo of sour onions, spicy salty sausage, and gooey cheese. Really tasty!!
