It's nice that they're adding the option, but it's not as robust as other parks' plans.  Another odd thing is that it's not even for the entire summer, only July and August.  If they were to do something for all season, I'd pick this up in a heartbeat.
I agree that it is not as great as other parks (two meals a day separated by at least an hour, every day all season, $109 at Hersheypark), though not too bad for a local. If you go twice a week, that's $5 a meal for two months. We're too far away to take advantage of this offer, but as you said - make it for March to September, we would definitely buy in.

I don't know if it will be worth it for me. I'm kind of with PK on this one. If it was for the duration of the pass, I'd jump all over it. But peak season, I only find myself at the park every 2 to 3 weeks or so. It would be a gamble for me. ( not that I don't enjoy gambling)

It will be interesting to see if this id
S just a test to see if the demand is to offer it all season next year.

Save when you buy an "all summer" dining plan. That's what it says. Doesn't summer start WAY earlier than July?
To be "that guy", summer technically is June 21, 2017 to September 22, 2017. To the beancounters among us, that's three months whether you go by the equinox/solstice calendar, or the Memorial Day to Labor Day calendar, not the two months on the BGW calendar. Arguments can be made in both directions, but I agree - for an amusement park, summer is 'exactly' Memorial Day to Labor Day.

It is possible that they don't want to draw potential customers away from the F&WF, which currently runs through 02 July.

This!

Plus they really consider only July through mid August high season. Different than summer season we think about. Hence operating hours are not maximized and several shows are not until this period. Just look at the bring a friend dates. June is in the "spring" season and summer season for the park doesn't start until the end of June.

I'm really hoping this is a "pilot program" for a full season dining plan like they have at KD. We would be all over it, as it is with some regularity the deciding factor when we're figuring out which park to visit. Given the vastly superior quality of food at BG (who am I kidding, BG is superior in nearly every way), I suspect BG would win far more often.

Speaking of pilot programs, has anyone heard anything about the passmember rewards thing they tried out with a limited number of people last year? I was really hoping that would be a thing.

I'm definitely getting this. I can't find it. Could you provide the link?

This kind of makes sense for me and my husband but not really my daughter. I wish they had it for the full year instead of just july and august. I would get my moneys worth then!! lol

Word to the wise. The plan works now. Their computer might not have a start date. This may be why they limited early sales.

So I purchased this and used it for the first time last evening. This seems like an insanely good deal (regardless of the 2 month window). I went to the smokehouse and got briscut + waffle fries and a Coke Zero, then the espresso cheesecake at Marco Polo's... at least $20 if I were to purchase at regular prices. So, if I were willing to drive there every night for the 2 months (62 days) that would be $1620 food for $88... In fact it's going to be hard to convince myself to eat at home for the next few months when I can go to BGW and get a prepaid meal. No dirty dishes and I get to burn a few calories walking to the restaurant I choose each evening.

Now I'd just like a little clarification on what qualifies as a dessert/side/entree... Does gelato at the gelato shop in qualify as a dessert? Or dare I say a funnel cake in Germany? Can I get a crepe in France as my entree? Depending on what is available with this plan, this could be the most delicious summer ever!

Update: A little clarification on the dessert/side/entrée definition. The only items that will count as desserts are in restaurants such as festhaus, trappers, etc. (so no, it doesn't appear that I'll be eating funnel cakes all summer long, as those are considered to be specialty items). Also, appears that they are having some issues getting the summer dining plans added to the season passes (in theory you should just be able to present your season pass and have the entrée/side/drink entitlement charged to your account); so if you purchase this you may want to make sure that you bring a printout of the pass you purchased online with you on each trip to the park. I just saved it as an image on my phone for easy access :)

Hmm, I figured you had to get the whole meal at once == so are you saying, snel987, that you could get your entree at one place and your dessert at another (as long as it's a big restaurant, not just any food stand)? Like, I could get a smokehouse sampler at trapper's but wait and have dessert later at festhaus, for example?

Even if I had to go to designated restaurants, being able to break up the credits for the day sounds nice.
