I dont expect this thread to be very long but I wanted to see peoples opinions on whether or not BBW was a rough ride. It was my impression that it was very smooth until the transition from the first turn to the second after the second drop.

Yeah I agree wholeheartedly with what you just said. That spot in the ride got me pretty good the first few times I rode it. After that I would stiffen up press of the front edge of the car in order to prevent my knees from whacking it.

After the second drop was the only rough part on the ride. I remember I smacked my head once and didn't feel right the rest of the day, of course, the risk of concussion didn't stop me from riding again.

I know that besides the BBW (which for an Arrow Coaster wasn't all that bad considering); after the first drop and then banking at the top of the Loch Ness; that is quick a little neck jerk - but again, if you brace for it, it is no big deal.

I am really excited now that the Loch was completely hand sanded down to the metal and repainted (it used to have 8 layers of paint) just how the feel of the ride changes. I bet it looks like a new coaster! :D

Last time I rode it was during Howl-O-Scream of 2005. The only part I found rough was the S-turn after the second drop. And out of the three times I rode it that day, I only experienced it once.

Hey everybody.

I'm new here but have been going to Busch since it opened. I remember when the Wolf was new. Great awesome coaster, but yes it was showing it's age. Either due to lack of maintenance or just plain time she was rough the last few years. I'll mss her.

"Busch Gardens" and "lack of maintenance" don't go together. It was just her age.

Also, by the way, welcome.

yeah, i remember one time i was just about to go on it and they closed it down right as i was about to get on the car. they closed it to check the brakes. i also remember that right before i went into the wait line the ride op was on the phone to the maintence guy talking about the brakes jittering, sorry for my spelling but typing really fast.
