That's really neat, what a dad!

First thing I thought of is the coaster ride utilizing a natural hill made by the protagonist in Herman Wouk's City Boy. It wasn't circular, though, IIRC. This seems engineered quite well to give an exciting ride and then slow to a stop at the base of the hill again. I'm impressed.
