Apple Pay @ BGW

New chip card terminals are being placed by ticket booths/guest relations within the next few weeks. Everywhere else gets them Sept/Oct.

They are considering Apple Pay however there is some cost for the park, so they may not go for it.

I hope they do. ApplePay came in handy when I went to Disney World last year.

I have been hearing rumors about BGW using Apple Pay for about a year now. If the cost isn't too bad, I would not be surprised if they start using it this year. I believe Carl Lum told me last year that if it happened, it wouldn't start until this season.

Disney uses machines that take both. No reason why BGW should only take one.

Any machine that does one should do both since it is all NFC.

This is why I love my Samsung Pay, already works anywhere you would swipe a card with no hardware burden on the merchant

Could this technology also be used for things like quick queue? Like could I use my apple wallet and hold quick queue passes and PhotoKey?

It's possible as the WDW Resort uses a similar technology with their Disney World Parks App and Magic Bands. However, this system is very expensive as it cost over $1 Billion for the company to implement it into all the parks, resorts, Disney Springs, etc., and they haven't yet installed this at any other Disney parks on the planet.

Confirmed Apple pay works at Busch Gardens !!!! Just did the first transaction!!

At guest services....termails haven't been installed yet anywhere else.
