as we talking about this, notice that kingda ka plot is still untouched, maybe they Saving that for a new coaster 5 years after this one (a b&m giga?)
They are not gonna build a giga after this mammoth million dollar project lmao especially at a park in a major hole not bringing in the dough.

Use that 30+mil on revamping major major areas of the park. Theres alot you can do with 30mil than just steel to transform something

Yes, it has been alluded to that the Ka plot will be used for a future ride. What size that ride is, or if it will ultimately be built, is all TBD.

Am I crazy to say some of that plot should be used for a modern family coaster? Something akin to like, BBWR, Penguin Trek, or Phoenix Rising? Another massive coaster would be fun of course, and the park will get another after this one being built, but a thrilling family coaster feels like a huge hole in the lineup.

on the family coaster point: that might be the biggest gap in the park right now (aside from the obvious). there's a lot to love, even under the circumstances, for thoosies or middle-high school aged kids who want thrill rides. there is next to nothing for families with small children. have there been ANY kids rides introduced in the last 15+ years? on the family coaster front, they're all still draws, but in bad shape or just extremely dated. skull mountain is particularly egregious with its lack of effects/themeing.

a good, solid family coaster would do a lot of lifting at the park. same with a new kids area (read: new, not another re-theme of the same rides). something that actually drives families to visit the park, and not just something for little kids to do while their older siblings ride nitro and batman.

Off the top of my head, the newest is Air Safari, having opened in 2007. The park is LONG overdue for a new kiddie area.
I felt like junior thrillseekers could be a perfect location for a new kids area (maybe retheme it to camp snoopy)

I’m talking about an entirely new area with new rides, not a retheme. That area doesn’t need its 5th theme, the Dare Devil Dive plot would be great for a new area though (as much as I’d rather have a large GCI there that also uses the plots of the 4D building and the go karts).

well, the only way a new kids area and gci coaster could co exist is if this gci coaster is the size of American thunder (the kids area will still go in the dare devil dive space with the middle half of the boardwalk steak fries games building demolished for another entrance to the kids area)

Not to mention they would also need to figure out several new operational solutions, as a lot of that back area (including the old Right Stuff building) is leveraged for prize / inventory storage and whatnot.

Possible, just unlikely for now. You'll likely see the DDD plot leveraged on its own (ex. Ragin' Cajun or something) a lot sooner than all of it combined.

Yeah I imagine they’re going to prioritize filling the rest of the Lantern plot before they get around to something major for the DDD plot. Ragin Cajun works just fine to fill that area out for the time being.

When it comes to the Lantern plot I think a Vekoma tilt makes the most sense. It’s a very eye catching ride for the front of the park and they easily have the land there to make it a world record breaker.

A Vekoma tilt would fit like a glove there. They could theme it either to the boardwalk/shore (Surfing or something like that) or if they decide to keep Superman themed as is, they could bring back Green Lantern or maybe go with Lex Luthor.

My dream would be Great American Scream Machine II though 😊

look, sorry for my drawing I did, I thought I be interesting in how they can fit both a kids area and a gci coaster in the plot

anyways, I love your idea of adding a vekoma tilt coaster (and the fact you go with great american scream machine 2 name)

if I wonder about what comes next, I expect the golden kingdom area to reopen with a temporarily second entrance for the park where kingda ka is until six flags decided to build another big coaster in the future
