My family is planning to visit BGT and Adventure Island overlapping the weekend that, I think, begins Spring Break in Florida (March 7-10). We've been to BG before but not Adventure Island, and I'm looking forward to it. It's the opening weekend for Adventure Island and I'm not sure what to expect for crowds. My concern is about several reviews I read on TripAdvisor complaining that some slides were closed. All those reviews seemed to be from early or late in the season. I was especially hoping to ride Key West Rapids, but that is one that people mentioned was closed.
Can anyone tell me what to expect for crowds or closed rides during that time? Would it make a difference if we visited AI on the weekend or on Monday? I noticed the park is open 10-5 on Sat. and Sun., but 9:30-6 during the following weekdays, and I thought that was strange. Would visiting on one day or another give us a better chance that all the slides will be open.
We're traveling from the snowy north, so I'm hoping to have the full park experience, not a park with some closed rides that I wish we could go on.
