So tonight, my wife ran into John Reilly, who she recognized from the youtube announcement videos as the park's GM and she stopped to talk to him. She asked him a couple of questions. Here's the jist:
1) Europe in the Air will open on May 1st.
2) Illiminights will include a parade/performance in each country with appropriate costuming, lighting, and music, in addition to the fireworks.
3) About the old Eagle's Nest area: He said that the gate was put up during Howl-o-scream and will be taken down soon I inquired about it as well with an employee at the children's services area and she said that the area had become a bit of a lover's lane last fall (they were busting a bunch of teenagers fooling around) so they gated it off. She told him that we had speculated that it may have been gated off to prepare for future construction and he just laughed that off.
She said he was extremely friendly and approachable, and seemed more than happy to answer her questions. You all may want to keep an eye out for him in the future![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
