Last night (7/3/17) I saw the fireworks and I was expecting to hear either the Star Spangled Nights soundtrack or at least the regular original 4th of July score. Instead, the entire thing was pop music that contained the word 'America' finished off with God Bless America sung by Celine Dion. I was very disappointed. Some may remember last/this year's New Year's fireworks, but this was far worse. There was no apparent choreography and there were long pauses between songs with no fireworks.

I really wonder what happened. Is the park no longer creating choreographed fireworks shows? It was almost as if this was just a regular show with matches. I really hope our Summer Nights fireworks are nothing like this.

My sources have told me that on the third, we had many technical issues in regards to the fireworks. The ones tonight (the fourth) were much better and more consistent. However, I agree the music was just not up to par.

I caught the fireworks show on the 3rd, in a terrible location in France for reasons for another time, and it kicked off with Springsteen's "Born In The USA" so I was cool with that (as anti-America as that song is haha). But then it went directly into Katy Perry "Fireworks" so I was immediately let down. I thought the fireworks show was just sub-par from our location but I do believe we had a horrid view and missed a lot of the fireworks.

I saw both nights and the 4th was an improvement but there still was that long pause at the end right before the end that just makes no sense. I saw several people start to leave thinking it was over.

Apparently Tampa had a major technical issue as well. Theirs was choreographed, unlike ours, but the fireworks didn't go off at all during the finale song (about 2 minutes of darkness).
