News 2026 General Updates

Cedar Point has posted a blog entry covering "What's New" at the Park for 2026. In terms of events:

• "Star-Spangled Celebration" from June 29th - July 4th, featuring skydiving demonstrations, specialty food and beverage offerings, interactive contests, performances by the OHNG's 122nd Army Band, and a large fireworks display on July 4th. No mention of nightly fireworks.
• A return of "Boardwalk Nights," July 17 - August 16th.
• Halloweekends dates announced, September 17th - November 1st
• "Happy Friar's Fresh Cut Fries Fest" returns, September 11th - 13th.

Also, there will be a "Veteran's VIP Parking" area near the main gate and renovations to both the Starbucks in the park as well as the one in Hotel Breakers.

Judging by the post from Tony Clark on X/Twitter, the park is already taking a second look at what the event offers.

Today on X/Twitter, Tony posted the message "Coastermania incoming...", so it appears that the new Morning Rush event will indeed be replaced by a new variation of CoasterMania.

I mean the morning rush was stupid as hell obviously. Did they not see this coming? With how fast it was changed was it a tony idea to begin with? Or do these events come from high up

Cedar Point decided to have Coaster Mania after all. The event is already sold out.

This revised Coastermania won't offer a Q&A or the traditional lake cruise but that didn't seem to keep too many from purchasing tickets.
