RE: 2015 Operating Hours

Well Easter falls early this year on the 27th of March, and they are usually open the week before and after Easter, so opening daily after the 19th makes sense. Not sure why they are open two weeks after that though. Maybe it was just a mistake? I guess we'll see when they release the official calendar.

Those three weeks actually make sense to be open daily, I know of different schools and school systems that will be out during one of those three weeks. Surely the park does some research on when area schools are getting out for spring break, and I guess that means they found a justifiable amount getting out each of the three weeks to constitute opening daily for all three.

Also, if this schedule holds true, it seems Pass Member Preview day will be on the 12th this year. I think that maybe the earliest Pass Member Preview day ever(beating out 2013, which was on March 13), at least from what I can remember.

Public schools on the peninsula (NN, Gloucester, Hampton, Williamsburg-James City, and York have an agreement to have their spring break at the same time (always the first full week in April) due to shared resources among the districts, regardless of when the Easter Holiday falls. School divisions south side and most divisions across the state still plan their spring breaks around (before or after) the Easter Holiday.

If you look at the front page of the park's website you'll notice that opening day has changed from what was originally revealed earlier in this thread. March 20th(Sunday) is now opening day, which means that most undoubtedly, March 19th(Saturday) will be Pass Member Preview day. This is different from last year where they did Pass Member Preview day the week before opening day, but is the same as years before last where they opened the day after(a Sunday) Pass Member Preview day.

Has anyone seen any confirmation on pass holdera day?

That is a very bright park schedule.

Not much has seemed to change since last year other than the already addressed 3 weeks of spring break and CT is open until 10:00 every night now. Honestly, I think that will be a good move because the crowds never seemed to die down early enough to close at nine, even on less-attended nights.
