    COVID-19’s Impacts on BGW

I know you're just giving the park's argument and not necessarily your own @Memles, but for the sake of discussion, there are several flaws in the park's argument. For one thing, the "short duration" factor goes out the window if the coaster breaks down mid-ride. We know it's fairly common for...

COVID-19 & Coasters: Coronavirus Impacts on the Amusement Industry

Some of you might have already heard, but Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood, and California's other theme parks have been permitted to reopen with limited capacity as early as April 1. That's big news, because the California parks have been pretty much completely closed since the shutdown...

    Project 2021: Pantheon

"Anticipated Opening 2021" is such awkward and noncommittal wording. So bizarre.

    COVID-19’s Impacts on BGW

Why is this a good thing? I get that InvadR's capacity is awful with every other row skipped, but those seats are definitely not six feet apart... (Not asking you specifically @RollyCoaster, but I'm puzzled by the positive reactions to this news.)

    Project 2021: Pantheon

I think @Nibbins' point is that Pantheon has been removed from the map altogether, not the fact that Finnegan's is the one that's labeled "new."

    Old Virginia

I saw this awesome photo posted in the Kings Dominion Historians FB group by Brian S. It's the waterfall near the entrance to Old Virginia while it was under construction.

    Existing San Marco (Italy)

Don't forget the New France candle carver. I think he might've retired rather than being kicked out (can someone confirm?), but there's no replacement for him either. :(

ZeitMaschine: Clock-Themed Zamperla NebulaZ in Rhinefeld

I had this same thought at first, but unlike many other serene areas of the park, that corner between the old smoking deck and the Rhinefeld entrance gates has never been particularly noteworthy - at least in my opinion. Unlike, say, the foliage by the Killarney bridge which was removed for...

ZeitMaschine: Clock-Themed Zamperla NebulaZ in Rhinefeld

This is a better design than most of the stuff the park has cooked up lately, and it's logical and seemingly wouldn't be terribly difficult or expensive either. This needs to happen.

    Park-wide Threadneedle Faire Special Event

Well, I guess I might as well mention London Rocks for the third time in this thread. Seriously though, a robust indoor entertainment lineup is a great idea. There could be a really diverse lineup of animal shows, musical shows, skill-based shows (like sword duels or something), puppet shows...

Defunct Enchanted Laboratory of Nostramos the Magnificent

That's definitely the first video I've ever seen of Hastings out on the paths. AMAZING find! It's also interesting to hear what sort of music they played in the area back in the day.

    COVID-19’s Impacts on BGW

I think you misunderstood what I said. Florida already allows SeaWorld to let their guests walk around the park without wearing masks. SeaWorld, however, has decided on their own that they want to continue requiring masks at all times. This conversation has nothing to do with state restrictions...

    Existing Water Ride Le Scoot

Family Kingdom's log flume also has a coaster-style drop (1:06 in the video below). But like Zachary said about Splash Mountain, it's more of a coaster-style drop with track. I feel like someone said here that the old Le Scoot drop stayed like a flume drop, with the trough saying the same and...

    COVID-19’s Impacts on BGW

Which states are you talking about? Florida is one of the more lax states when it comes to restrictions, and yet SeaWorld Orlando has still voluntarily implemented a masks-at-all-times rule for the park. Even if Virginia eased their restrictions, BGW would probably still keep their restrictions...

    Existing Water Ride Le Scoot

Was there ever a consensus about why it was removed?

    COVID-19’s Impacts on BGW

What are you talking about? With regard to social distancing and mask restrictions, SeaWorld has the exact same self-imposed restrictions BGW has.

    Project 2021: Pantheon

I think you're ruling out the possibility that BGW considered this idea, or something like it, and decided it would make them less money than waiting to open the ride later. You keep presenting this idea as if it's a guaranteed to earn them more money and the folks at BGW are too foolish to have...

    Existing Banbury Cross (England)

Does anyone have an idea of when the red telephone boxes were added to Banbury? They weren't there when the park opened, right?

    News Project 2021: Ice Breaker

That entrance looks terrible. This park competes with Disney and the best they could do is slap a small, two-dimensional sign onto a wooden post next to two small fake ice blocks? Even Cedar Fair and Six Flags have been putting together better-themed entrances lately. This was a major missed...
