So I know we're getting a VR ride out of EitA, but I was having an interesting discussion of "what if" with a fellow enthusiast about what if your home park had to have a coaster get a VR train or rows? What would the experience be, what would be the story, etc.

I told him for the most part it's easy because they have a story to them, but it could be made really cool.

So without further ado, here's how I answered:
Loch Ness Monster - Exploratory trip in a submarine to the Loch, where you don't find anything (first drop), don't see anything (second drop) when suddenly your sub gets flipped (first loop), and in the helix Nessie is chasing you deeper and deeper. When suddenly she catches you, drags you to the surface, and pulls you back down, when suddenly you escape and flip up to the surface.

Griffon - One villager is chosen to ride the Griffon to protect the village, you slowly climb and climb to the great heights of the griffin's abilities, then as unknown nights attack, (s)he dives down and gives a warning cry as (s)he swoops back up and twists around, and at the second drop the griffin is diving to hunt for fish, where it misses on the first swoop, and comes around on the second one and catches it.

Invadr - So one train set to be a villager, running around the walls of the city, consistently defending the walls. You are their "champion" and greatest defender of the fort. You are running around giving help where it's needed when in the end you chase them out to the wild again in the end. On the other train you are the Viking, awakened from your sleep to find where you were was the hunt is now a village and in your anger you attack, turned away are every attempt where you are finally driven away and go back into your sleep.

Alpengeist - Ok so this is where is started for me. Start as a nice skiing stip in the alps, going, twisting, jumping. At the break run, suddenly a yeti starts chasing you, and the end is about speeding down the hill and avoiding trees to loose the yeti.

Verbolten - Uhhh...well, nothing needs to be done to be done there. Everything similar just VR-ed. each train can have a different at the drop.

Tempesto - Seriously, this one should be easy to understand. And very boring.

Apollo - The Roman Senate selects you to deliver a package to the far side of the empire, but they have given you an impossible time frame. As you start your journey, you are praying to the gods for help, when Apollo shows up and offers you a ride. You hop on (predrop) and he takes you on a ride diving under the clouds, turning, twisting and dropping off the package. He wants to let you off, but before he does, he gives you his shoes to back it back fast. As you sweep across the land various gods push you along; you race the sun as it sets. When you make it back (final break run) Apollo tells you that what you delivered helped the Roman empire win a battle, and as a thank you, the grant you the powers of a demigod.

Great concepts, I like all of them!
