At least 3 weeks, both time I went the skytower was shut down all day, no high winds, no bad weather, just shut down. Before that though, i dont know because I was in Virginia for a month.

I forgot to mention this when I visited Sunday/Monday, but the Sky Tower has reopened...

SKY TOWER IS BACK
Get a bird’s-eye view of Seven Seas and more on Sky Tower, now open! This 400-foot ride has stood as an icon for SeaWorld Orlando since it opened in 1974. Now you can hop on and see its all-new, refurbished look. Plus, it’s free for Silver, Gold, and Platinum Annual Pass Members.

I can’t believe this is an upcharge considering the total lack of attract and high prices of that park. Trend for the future? Not including all rides?

Seaworld is not meant to be nearly as much of a thrill park as it is a family venue, hence the numerous "stroller parking" signs everywhere near shows. I feel thats why they can justify charging non-members for the skytower. As it is an attraction that every family member can experience. Keep in mind the skytower at San Diego also has the same policy.

Just another reason SEAS has fallen to the worst theme park operator in the US IMO. Gouging at its finest.

Wait. SEAS is failing as a theme park by not emphasizing adult rides at a park in Orlando? It is themed to marine life. There are tons of animal exhibits and experiences, punctuated with a few great thrill rides, which have long been some of the best in Florida.

Yes, like their area competitors, they have upcharge attractions. They also have tons of things to do that are included in the ticket.

Does it suck that Skytower costs money? Sure. That doesn’t make SWO a terrible park, in my opinion.
